Job Title: Automation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team at Resolute Forest Products Canada Inc. As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for creating manufacturing instructions, repairing and maintaining machinery, and assisting in preparing design, drawings, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create manufacturing instructions to ensure efficient production processes
  • Repair and maintain machinery to minimize downtime and optimize performance
  • Assist in preparing design, drawings, and specifications to meet production requirements
  • Carry out mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and edit designs
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications
  • Develop and implement standards and schedules to improve production efficiency
  • Test machines and equipment to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
Requirements:
  • Eligible for certification by a provincial or territorial association
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other CAD software
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
