Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at the Asian Food Centre Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Determine the size of food portions and costs, prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and manage kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant.
