Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong financial background, advanced Excel skills, and excellent communication abilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for all financial aspects of SR&ED claims and other programs for our clients. You will work closely with our Account Manager and coordinate your work with other team members.

We require a professional individual who can work independently, handle multiple projects with firm deadlines, and provide ready access to technical, financial, and business expertise.

  • Liaising with client executives, accountants, and bookkeepers to identify eligible expenditures and prepare costing summaries.
  • Assisting with analysis of client's business processes, financial practices, and corporate structure to optimize them for tax compliance and maximum return.
  • Interfacing with the CRA on filing statuses, responding to requests for information, and assisting through the claim review process.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting and costing principles, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with MS Office software. Prior experience in corporate tax preparation, SR&ED tax credit claims preparation, bookkeeping, and accounting is an asset.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in accounting and taxation, finance, or similar required.
  • Strong financial background and good knowledge of accounting/costing principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with other MS Office software.
  • Excellent communication skills (in-person and over the phone).
  • Ability to work independently and simultaneously handle multiple projects with firm deadlines.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
