Research Scientist in Tissue-Based Bone Graft Development

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to support the development and evaluation of tissue-based bone grafts at Red Rock Regeneration Inc, a biotechnology and medical device company based in Toronto, ON.

Our Natural Matrix Protein series of tissue-based products has been launched successfully, and we are now looking to expand our team with a Research Associate who will contribute to the growth of our organization.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer competitive benefits and a dynamic work environment that fosters professional growth and collaboration.
Job DescriptionThis role involves supporting the development and evaluation of tissue-based bone grafts through various cell culture and biochemical assays, including ELISAs. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in protein assays, enzymatic assays, and mammalian cell culture. They will also be responsible for collecting data, performing simple analyses, and drafting study reports.
Key Responsibilities- Process bovine and human tissue
- Perform protein assays, enzymatic assays, and ELISAs
- Conduct cell culture assays
- Collect data, perform simple analyses, and draft study reports
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Maintain inventories of materials and samples
- 3+ years of experience in a research laboratory as a technician or graduate student
- Knowledge of biochemical assays (protein assays, ELISAs)
- Experience with mammalian cell culture
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in Canada
A BSc in cell biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline is required. An MSc is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in biochemical assays, mammalian cell culture, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Knowledge of connective tissue biology is an advantage.
