Earth Surface Processes Researcher

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the area of Earth surface processes.
About the PositionThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our research and teaching strengths in terrestrial natural hazards, including wildfire, stream flooding, intraplate tectonics, tsunamis, sea-level change, glacial lake outburst floods, permafrost thawing, mass wasting, coastal erosion, and anthropogenic geohazards.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a research program that focuses on novel field and computational methods in Earth surface processes.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including a third-year process geomorphology course.
- Supervise graduate students and maintain externally-funded graduate research programs.
- Contribute to departmental and faculty-wide initiatives in experiential learning and research excellence.
A Ph.D. in a relevant field is required, and previous academic or professional experience is considered favorable. Experience with geospatial analysis, including remote sensing, is an asset but not required.
