About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our Financial Services team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our accounting subsystems and providing exceptional customer service to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out assigned functional accounting tasks and maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and achieve departmental goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and policies, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.
About You

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and customer service. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A graduate degree in a related field, such as accounting or business administration.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in a computerized accounting environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software, with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
