Job Description

We are currently recruiting for the position of Journeyman Machinist with manual machining experience located at our Vancouver sugar refinery.

  • Troubleshoot, test, inspect, and repair various types of industrial mechanical equipment.
  • Participate in the mechanical preventive maintenance program for processing, packaging, and distribution equipment.
  • Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • BCTQ Machinist Red Seal certification or equivalent Canadian journeyperson certification with Interprovincial Red Seal.
  • Manual machining experience.
  • Experience and familiarity with safe working practices in regards operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Basic understanding of mechanics in regards pumps, reducers, and packaging equipment.
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance and punctuality record.
