Collection Representative Job Description

At DPC Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P., we're committed to excellence and care in everything we do. As a Collection Representative, you'll play a vital role in our team by managing a portfolio of accounts receivable and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding invoices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the collection process for a given portfolio, ensuring prompt payment and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Analyze payment agreements and investigate outstanding invoices, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Resolve payment discrepancies within the required timeframe, maintaining strong relationships with customers.
  • Document daily activities in our system, ensuring accurate records and compliance with policies.
  • Ensure credit limits are managed effectively, and pending orders are processed efficiently.
  • Initiate and respond to customer inquiries, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Reconcile accounts, prepare requests for deferrals, write-offs, and credit notes, and apply existing policies and procedures.
  • Prepare documentation for deductions and perform related tasks, ensuring seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or technical diploma in accounting or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in a credit/commercial collection environment.
  • Excellent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively via email and telephone.
  • Strong knowledge of the Office suite and Maestro (asset) software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing contexts.
