Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our engineering team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing, building, and expanding our ecosystem while ensuring security and compliance.

This role involves working closely with our product and engineering teams to create and enhance core services, monitoring systems, and integrations that elevate our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development: Design and implement web applications using MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) and NestJS.
  • Frontend Development: Work on frontend applications using React, Angular, Vue.js, or other modern frameworks to build intuitive user interfaces.
  • Event-Driven Architectures: Design and implement event-driven architectures utilizing topics, queues, message brokers, and event streams.
  • API Integration: Build and manage public APIs and reliable webhook systems.
  • Security: Ensure all development complies with SOC2 Type 2 standards, focusing on security and data protection.
  • Vendor Integration: Integrate external vendors and third-party services seamlessly into existing platforms.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define and deliver new features.
  • Operations: Implement operational best practices, including logging, monitoring, and analytics.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
  • Containerization: Utilize Docker for containerization to ensure consistency across environments.
  • DevOps: Contribute to DevOps processes by automating workflows using GitHub Actions and managing infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Coding Standards: Apply software development best practices, including DRY and SOLID principles, to produce clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and best practice guidelines.
RequirementsQualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with the MERN stack.
  • Proficient in building applications using NestJS framework.
  • Experience working in SOC2 Type 2 compliant environments, preferably in fintech.
  • Strong understanding of topics, queues, message brokers, and event streams.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining public APIs.
  • Deep understanding of logging, monitoring, and analytics in product development.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions and Terraform for CI/CD and infrastructure management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in financial data aggregation or similar domains.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
  • Experience with messaging and event streaming platforms like AWS SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, plus participation in the Employee Incentive pool, health/dental plan after initial 6 months, and flexible hybrid work arrangements.
