This role is part of our Co-Dev vertical, focusing on AAA IP development. We're seeking an experienced Level Designer to shape engaging gameplay experiences. If you're driven by a passion for Level Design and thrive on making a significant impact, this could be your dream opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create level layouts that guide players through objectives, balancing clear gameplay and pacing intentions in accordance with direction guidelines;
  • Playtest and refine levels, embracing feedback to ensure the desired experience is met;
  • Collaborate with Level Artists to define assets and tools for credible and rich environments conveying their own stories;
  • Evaluate the evolution of levels as they pass through other disciplines, ensuring level design intentions are respected towards final delivery;
  • Establish conventions for level sizes, boundaries, distances, paths, chokepoints, etc.;
  • Implement scripted story sequences or events in levels when conditions are met;
  • Design compelling camera work highlighting key moments within the experience;
  • Provide time estimates as necessary;
  • Contribute to design support documentation, as needed.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of game industry experience as a Level Designer;
  • Strong understanding of space, flow, and pacing;
  • Ability to write detailed design documents describing the above;
  • Proficient with Unreal Engine and related tools;
  • Experience with visual scripting and sequencing tools a plus;
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to constant changes;
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal in French and/or English.
