We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our commercial insurance sales team in Winnipeg, MB.
About the Role
This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours of work per week. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a high-performance team to achieve sales targets and grow the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business leads and sales opportunities and provide them to representatives for action.
- Build and maintain a high-performing team through actively recruiting, goal-setting, performance management, training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Lead the implementation of sales strategies and participate in closing commercial sales.
- Create and implement a sales development plan to meet growth objectives.
- Track, analyze, and report sales results and adapt tactical plans accordingly.
The Ideal Candidate
- General Insurance Level 2 certification or willingness to acquire within 30 days of hire.
- Post-secondary education an asset.
- Experience leading a team with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
- Experience recruiting, developing, and performance managing a team.
- Involvement in industry-related associations and community involvement.
- Proven history of being a strong sales professional.
- Professional communication etiquette, both written and verbal.

- A salary range of $75,000 - $112,000 based on experience.
