Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at the Benevolent Society Heidehof For the Care of the Aged. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supply and empty bed pans
  • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
  • Collect specimens
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations
  • Provide personal care
  • Provide companionship
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Feed or assist in feeding
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Nursing Aide Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
