Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Resident Attendant to join our team at Aspira West Park Crossing Retirement Living.

About the Role

This is a temporary full-time position until January 2025, with 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will work a rotational schedule, including Thursdays and Fridays from 6:30am to 2:30pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30am to 2:30pm, with Mondays off.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer all resident call bells and door alarms promptly, providing courteous service.
  • Complete all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
  • Transport residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office, and dining room as required.
  • Complete laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Deal tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families, and report any concerns or complaints to the team leader.
  • Practice safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
  • Medication Administration Module or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days.
  • Current First Aid/CPR training.
  • Excellent command of verbal and written English language skills.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
