Job Description

As an Associate Advisor, you will work closely with an Investment Advisor team to provide proactive advice and support to clients, helping to deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients to the firm. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging your planning skills to facilitate meetings and events for the Investment Advisor with clients and prospects, identifying agenda topics and preparing documentation.
  • Providing exceptional client service, resolving issues, and responding to account inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supporting business planning, client segmentation, and client service initiatives, identifying opportunities for asset consolidation and referrals.
  • Collaborating with the advisory team to acquire new clients and nurture relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and RBC partners.
  • Assisting with trading and portfolio rebalancing, as well as conducting market research and providing updates to the advisory team.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC.
  • Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course or Investment Management Techniques (IMT).
  • A university degree.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
