Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Grounds Supervisor to join our team at Fairmont Banff Springs. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel property is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and engage with guests and colleagues in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Plan, assign, and follow up on colleague tasks to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and implement seasonal projects and programs to enhance the hotel property and provide a unique experience for guests.
  • Provide coverage for other hotel grounds supervisors and assist with tasks as needed.
  • Train and mentor colleagues on tools, equipment, and procedures to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Enhance property through various projects and initiatives.
  • Perform labor-intensive tasks such as shoveling, lifting, pushing, walking fast, digging, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Previous leadership experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience in a landscaping or snow removal business is required.
  • Previous experience operating large vehicles, skid steer, and machinery is required.
  • Must have a Class 5 driver's license and a driver's abstract in good standing.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70+ lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures and conditions (snow, heat, rain).

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
