We are seeking an exceptional Fitness Director to join our team at Virgin Active South Africa (Pty) Ltd.
About the Role:This is a leadership opportunity that requires a dynamic individual with a passion for fitness and delivering exceptional member experiences. As a Fitness Director, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment that inspires people to live active lives.
You will lead a team of 'Rockstar' Fitness Instructors & Group Exercise Instructors, providing them with opportunities for personal and professional development. Your goal will be to maximize member engagement through small group exercise classes and events.
Key Responsibilities:- To create and implement exercise-related strategies that drive business results
- To lead by example, embodying our values and inspiring others to do the same
- To develop and maintain a high-performing team of Fitness Instructors and Group Exercise Instructors
- To ensure excellent floor coverage through optimal staffing schedules
- To continuously improve the group exercise offering and timetable
- To analyze class performance and report on success, identifying areas for improvement
- Matric qualification
- A recognized Fitness Qualification
- A recognized Group Exercise Qualification
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within the Fitness industry
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in managing people/teams
- Exceptional people leadership skills
