Medical Pathologist

Alberta Precision Laboratories Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Pathologist to join our team. As a diagnostic expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate diagnoses and developing effective treatment plans.
Job DescriptionThis is a permanent position with an estimated annual salary of $120,000-$150,000 based on qualifications and experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pathology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders through microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens.
- Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods.
- Supervise laboratory activities and train junior staff members.
- Act as consultants to other physicians and order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
- Specialty residency training in pathology.
- Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination.
- Ability to relocate for this position.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a large workload. They must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform manual tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
