We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our retail systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and improving software applications, working closely with business partners and engineering teams, and solving complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and improve software applications aligned with the strategic direction of the organization.
- Work as a bridge between business partners and engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Solve complex technical issues and recommend solutions within an agile or waterfall project structure.
- Provide guidance and input to sequencing within the technology roadmap.
- Configure new application features and deprecate existing features as needed.
- Develop and implement enhancements for existing applications and platforms.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of application systems with each upgrade or new application implementation.
- Lead the creation and review of all technical documentation.
- Create and manage production deployment plans.
- Plan for and align application security models according to best practices and license efficiency.
- Interact with the user community to solve problems, augment system functionality, and improve the user experience.
- Develop test case scenarios for QA and UAT.
Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related fields.
- 3-5+ years of experience as a technology expert, implementing Order Management Solutions across various Enterprise Applications platforms.
- Strong knowledge of D365 ERP, Salesforce, and D365 CE is an asset.
- Experience working with agile/scrum methodologies.
- Minimum of 2 full system implementations in a full Retail model or point of sale application.
- 5+ years experience in D365 Commerce and certification is required.
- Certification such as CBAP, PMI-BAP, or accompanying certification MSFT, Azure, Cloud, Salesforce services are also an asset.
- D365 Commerce experience is an asset.
- Retail certification is preferred.
- Superior commerce technology/platform architecture knowledge pertaining to ERP integrations.
- Intermediate to Advanced understanding of Power Platform, Power App, and Power Automate applications.
- Cloud, networks, server, IT security, and programming.
- Specialist in at least one programming language (e.g., Python or Java).
- Comprehend and compose complex SQL and M Queries.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding and experience in headless commerce engine, business process, and unified data.
- Ability to think innovatively, solve complex problems, and present solutions in clear and compelling terms.
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships at all levels of organizations and work effectively as part of a team.
