Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

BNN FREIGHT INC is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, working as part of a two-person team or convoy, and ensuring the safe and secure transportation of cargo.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
  • Load and unload goods
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willing to travel cross-border
  • Willing to travel overnight
  • Relocation costs covered by employer
  • Travel expenses paid by employer
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working on the road, with various locations and travel requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of cargo, and will be required to work independently and as part of a team.
