About the Role

L'Arche Arnprior is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to lead one of our homes as a House Leader. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily life of individuals with developmental disabilities, supervising a team of Assistants, and ensuring the overall well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate with the team to provide high-quality support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, respecting their choices, goals, and needs.
  • Provide direct care and skill-building supports in areas such as personal care, life goals, and medical care.
  • Collaborate with the team to complete household duties and maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
  • Keep accurate records and adhere to policies, guidelines, and regulations.
Requirements
  • DSW or equivalent education or experience in a related field.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and effective communication skills.
  • Clear police check and ability to manage stress and prioritize tasks.
  • Organized and able to delegate and supervise effectively.
  • Minimum of 3 years driving experience and administrative skills.
