Blockchain-Focused Threat Intelligence Engineer

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Threat Intelligence Software Engineer with a strong emphasis on blockchain technology to enhance our engineering team. This role is ideal for a Full-Stack Developer who possesses a deep understanding and enthusiasm for the cryptocurrency landscape. Your contributions will be vital in developing essential infrastructure and tools to protect Web3 enterprises from daily online threats.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze on-chain transactions linked to wallet thefts and malicious entities.
- Identify wallet draining scripts within Web3 front-end applications.
- Simulate wallet interactions with phishing websites to gather insights on attack patterns.
- Extract and label addresses associated with phishing activities for on-chain tracing.
- Develop and maintain our primary application, Discord Bot, API, and Typescript SDK.
- Engage in regular code reviews on GitHub, discussing trade-offs and ensuring high code quality.
- Collaborate with founders and fellow engineers to define project scopes and manage initiatives.
- Work alongside co-founders to conduct strategic experiments aimed at assessing product-market fit and exploring new growth avenues.
- Create documentation, tests, and tools to enhance the Developer Experience as needed.
To illustrate the type of work expected, here are some example projects:
- Develop a simulator to connect to phishing domains from our database, mimicking a connection and documenting the entire process for evidence while extracting any on-chain addresses involved.
- Trace the flow of funds from a phishing site, uncover additional contracts and addresses utilized in the attack, and create visual representations to assist in the tracing process.
- Proven experience in on-chain tracing, recovery of lost funds, or auditing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with technologies such as:
- Vercel
- TRPC
- Chakra UI
- React Query
- MySQL/Vitess
- Prisma
- Experience in maintaining a production codebase.
- Experience in building and managing public REST APIs is advantageous.
- UI/UX design skills and an understanding of design systems are beneficial.
- Background in technical writing, Developer Relations, or related non-technical skills is a plus.
- Previous experience in a startup environment is a plus.
