We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre.
Under the direction of the Manager, Med/Surg; ICU; In-patients, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients presenting in the ICU Unit.
Shift Rotation/Hours of Work: Days, Nights - 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, rotating
New Wage: As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is: $41.42 - $59.52/hour
Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre is a 46-bed hospital with 115 residential care beds in the adjoining Peace Villa Care Home. They have two state-of-the-art operating rooms, ambulatory clinics including cancer care and hemodialysis, emergency and ICU, a birthing centre with single maternity rooms for labour, delivery, and post-partum.

Qualifications
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and Ventilator Certificates mandatory.
• In-house Coronary Care Course Certificate or equivalent.
• One (1) year full-time recent experience in intensive care.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to deal with others effectively.
• Demonstrated physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and work independently.
• Demonstrated knowledge of special procedures and techniques such as infusion of medications.
• Demonstrated competency in using equipment and supplies in such as Cardiac Monitors, Blood Pressure, and Oxygen Saturation Monitors and Electrocardiograph machines.
