Job Summary:

The Evergreen School Division is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Support Specialist to join our team. As an Educational Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their educational needs, providing assistance with instruction, and helping students with daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with their educational needs, including providing support with instruction and helping students with daily tasks such as dressing, feeding, and toileting.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with diverse needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent education.
  • Para Educator Certificate desired.
  • Relevant training and experience in behavior management and supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Demonstrable computer/technology skills.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position will be according to the Collective Agreement. As an employee of the Evergreen School Division, you will also be eligible for a range of benefits, including a recent Child Abuse Registry Check and a Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check.
