Location:Various locations across British Columbia.A Speech-Language Pathologist plays a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders. They work with individuals across the lifespan to enhance their ability to communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of speech language and swallowing abilities.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide therapy to improve communication skills, including speech clarity and language comprehension.
- Educate patients and caregivers about effective communication strategies and techniques.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent.
- State licensure as a speech-language pathologist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
