About the Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Service Technician. In this role, you will work with the maintenance team to ensure vehicles are prepped and transferred to the correct location within the facility. Your responsibilities will include washing vehicles, fueling vehicles, washing the yard and shop, moving heavy-duty vehicles, and performing multi-point inspections on inbound and outbound units.

Responsibilities

  1. Wash vehicles to maintain a clean and presentable appearance
  2. Fuel vehicles to ensure they are ready for use
  3. Wash the yard and shop to maintain a clean and organized environment
  4. Move heavy-duty vehicles to the correct location within the facility
  5. Perform multi-point inspections on inbound and outbound units to ensure they meet company policies and procedures
  6. Report service issues to the shop to ensure prompt attention
  7. Record fuel activity and maintain proper fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation
  8. Maintain the fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies
  9. Perform some facility maintenance to ensure the facility remains in good working condition
  10. Perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

  1. Valid Class 5 Driver's license
  2. High school diploma or equivalent required
  3. No prior experience required, but preferred
  4. Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
  5. Demonstrates customer service skills
  6. Must be able to understand customer's verbal communication
  7. Understand computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email
  8. Must be able to read and understand codes and instructions on the computer
  9. Must have basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry
  10. Must be 18 years of age or older
  11. Highly thorough and dependable
  12. Must be able to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, and holidays
  13. Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
  14. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  15. Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  16. Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  17. Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
