Job Summary

The St. Joseph's Care Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Occupational Therapist to join our interprofessional team in the Chronic Pain Management department. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with chronic pain to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with chronic pain
  • Provide individual and group interventions, including psychoeducation and public education
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and services
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices

Requirements

  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Knowledge and experience with a Decision Guide model of care, triage of referrals, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based approaches to care
  • Experience working with an adult population with serious and persistent mental health concerns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interprofessional team

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time temporary position
  • Shifts will be days
  • The rate of pay is $38.76 - $53.69 per hour
