About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team at Alcop Resource Recycling Inc. as a key member of our environmental services team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Landscape Construction: Assist with the design, installation, and maintenance of outdoor landscapes, including gardens, parks, and other green spaces.
  • Horticulture Services: Provide expert care for plants, trees, and flowers, including pruning, weeding, and fertilizing.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain a range of landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other machinery.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare sites for construction, including clearing debris, grading, and laying sod or seed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily progress, including notes on weather conditions, equipment usage, and any issues encountered.
Work Environment

As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work in dusty conditions, and be physically demanding.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant training or experience is essential.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn new skills is essential for this role.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts as required.
