About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our Public Health team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with preschool clients with hearing, communication, and related disorders, providing assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and follow-up services.

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include:

">
  • Performing screenings, assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and follow-ups for clients with hearing, communication, and related disorders;">
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans based on assessment results;">
  • Providing guidance to Speech Language Assistants and education to patient's family, friends, and caregivers;">
  • Collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement client treatment programs;">
  • Maintaining related records, documentation, and statistics;">
  • Preparing reports in accordance with established standards and procedures;">
  • Participating in program planning, research activities, and quality improvement initiatives;">
  • Supervising graduate-level students as required.">

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an approved institution;">
  • Current active registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC;">
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA) and/or the British Columbia Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (BCASLPA);">
  • A valid Class 5 BC driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.">
