About the Role
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Vancouver Acute Home Based Treatment (AHBT) program.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients and clients, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions, and initiating treatment, including health care management and therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and clients to diagnose diseases, disorders, and conditions.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement treatment plans, including health care management and therapeutic interventions.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with regulatory standards and employer policies.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to other healthcare professionals and participate in peer review and quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Education: Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Experience: Four (4) years of recent and relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Skills: Ability to perform the full scope of NP duties and responsibilities, including medication management and communication.
