Service Estimator Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented professional with excellent estimation skills? Do you enjoy collaborating with others to achieve results? We're looking for a skilled Service Estimator to join our team at Gateway Mechanical.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with technicians to ensure accurate estimates, including parts, labor, and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate the accuracy of recommendations, determine possible system issues, and communicate findings with Territory Managers.
  • Create estimate and proposal templates to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Sales to prepare accurate estimates and proposals for preventative maintenance opportunities.
  • Communicate leads for upgrades, retrofits, and new construction to the Estimating team.
  • Work with the Purchase Order Administrator to ensure proper parts are ordered.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience working on mechanical or construction estimates.
  • Refrigeration or Plumbing Trades ticket, or Technical Diploma, or post-Secondary Degree.
  • Experience with estimating software.
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of Microsoft Office products with a focus on Excel.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
