Staff Accountant Job Description

TAAG Accounting is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional financial services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows.
  • Accounting Practices: Complete full cycle accounting, including monthly and quarterly financial bookkeeping and period-end closing.
  • Taxation: Prepare and review HST returns, Payroll remittances, and Personal and Corporate tax returns and related schedules.
  • Client Support: Provide exceptional support and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with Small/Medium Businesses.
  • Accounting designation (CGA, CA, CMA, CPA) or a post-secondary degree in accounting and in pursuit of CPA.
  • Knowledge of GAAP/ASPE and proficiency in Excel, Sage Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, Tax prep, and CaseWare.
