Role Overview

The Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assist with the opening of Scotia Place. As a Project Committee Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Project Committee, ensuring the smooth operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate meetings, site tours, and greet visitors with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Support staff with administrative tasks, including calendar management, budget support, and document preparation.
  • Develop and maintain a well-organized electronic and/or paper filing system for rapid information retrieval.
  • Screen incoming correspondence and prepare draft responses with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide word processing support, including composing and editing documents, expense tracking, and travel arrangements.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, circulate correspondence, and maintain office supply ordering and stock.
  • Assist with the proper functioning of copy machines, business equipment, and IT systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of ten years' experience in an administrative position, with five years' experience supporting a C-level executive.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook, with experience in Project documentation and document control systems.
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment with competing priorities.
