Job Title: Senior Financial Operations Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Operations Specialist to oversee high-level financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting at AmorePacific.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage advanced accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Prepare key financial reports, including monthly HST reports for the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
  • Investigate accounts receivable chargebacks, collaborating with customers and internal departments.
  • Prepare customer statements of accounts and aging payables reports with proper backup documentation.
  • Oversee day-to-day credit card activities, ensuring proper usage and reconciliation.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes, reviewing general ledgers and expenses for accuracy.
  • Compile and maintain monthly accruals and manage reversals as needed.
  • Analyze monthly cash flow and travel & entertainment expenses.
  • Support year-end processes by updating and maintaining supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Train junior finance staff and provide new hires with invoice approval process training.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred).
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a mid to large-sized organization.
  • Strong GAAP (IFRS) knowledge and solid understanding of advanced accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (SAP experience preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments.
  • High level of integrity, committed to maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
