Financial Management Expert

We are seeking an experienced Financial Management Expert to join our public practice team in Calgary. As a Canadian Professional Accountant (CPA), you will have the opportunity to work with a portfolio of established not-for-profit clients and deliver audit services using Part III of the CPA Handbook.
Key Responsibilities- Provide financial management services to not-for-profits and charities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients, working closely with audit technicians to complete file preparation and provide feedback and coaching for their development.
- Present audit reports at annual general meetings as required and plan, develop, implement, and evaluate relevant workshops and seminars on financial management and fundraising.
- Write financial literacy articles to support the education of not-for-profit volunteers and mentor, coach, and supervise audit support staff.
- Work collaboratively with other public practices on-site and assist in maintaining the Quality Assurance Manual and implementing feedback from practice reviews.
- Bachelor's degree and CPA designation.
- Ability to establish a public accounting firm and audit under the Regulated Accounting Profession Act.
- Technical understanding of Part III of the CPA Handbook.
- Not-for-profit audit experience and understanding of GST for both non-profit and charities.
- Proficiency in Caseware, Microsoft Word, Excel, and cloud-based case management software.
- Karbon knowledge and experience with SAGE, QuickBooks, and other off-the-shelf accounting programs an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Experience in public speaking and group facilitation.
- Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team and build positive working relationships.
A competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
