About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Security Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our AWS Security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based services and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough security reviews of applications and services to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Develop and implement secure architecture designs to protect against emerging threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security issues.
  • Design and implement security automation tools to streamline security processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies to ensure our services remain secure.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java,.Net, or C++.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as DNS and TCP/IP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
  • Experience with AWS products and services.
  • Programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.

We offer a competitive salary range of $137,800/year to $230,100/year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, you may also be eligible for equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package.
