About the Role
Glencore Sudbury is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. This is a full-time, permanent unionized position based in Falconbridge.

Job Summary
The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for overall cost control and financial reporting at the site. They will develop and maintain an information system emphasizing cost control and ensure accurate and complete financial reporting in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting principles.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, the successful candidate will receive performance bonuses, wellness and employee assistance programs, and opportunities to build their network through our IDEAL framework (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Advancement, and Local).

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Accountant will prepare the financial portion of the site's annual budget and develop and maintain an information system emphasizing cost control. They will also ensure accurate and complete financial reporting for the business unit or department in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting principles.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) or currently enrolled in the CPA accounting designation program with good standing
* Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of software, particularly Excel
* Several years of related experience is considered an asset, preferably in the mining or resource industries
