About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Romko Residences LTD. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Provide Nursing Care: Take residents' vital signs, administer medications, and provide wound care as needed.
  • Support Daily Living Activities: Assist with meal preparation, serving, and feeding, as well as providing support with daily living activities such as toileting and mobility.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and respectful communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Contribute to a Safe Environment: Identify and report any safety concerns or incidents, and participate in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, or equivalent experience
  • Certifications: Required certifications
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work under pressure, with repetitive tasks, and in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must be able to lift, bend, and move with ease, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
