Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager to join our team at The Station Neighbourhood Pub.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods for a fast-paced environment in our restaurant kitchen.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Train and lead kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate with relevant culinary training or experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to train and manage kitchen staff.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 per year, based on industry standards and the cost of living in our area. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive benefits such as paid time off and opportunities for professional development.
