Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Cook to join our team at Denny\u0027s Restaurants. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes to order, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they are following proper food preparation and handling procedures.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
