We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Strategist to join our team at Altis Recruitment. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in shaping our financial future and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Budget Planning and Management
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the preparation of financial components for our annual budget and multi-year financial plans. This includes developing guidelines, instructions, and templates for these initiatives.
Financial Analysis and ResearchConduct high-level research and analysis to assist our Executive Director in developing a budget-stewarding strategy that enhances financial awareness across the organization. You will serve as a primary contact for budget support, analyzing departmental budget requests, and adjudicating straightforward requests.
Collaboration and CommunicationYou will regularly provide budget information and analytical support to department managers and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will analyze and suggest improvements for all budgeting and planning methods, systems, and procedures within the organization.
Forecasting and InnovationImplement forecasting systems to accurately predict financial results. You will also initiate enhancements and innovations for budgeting and costing techniques.
Compliance and Team LeadershipEnsure compliance with organizational financial policies, generally accepted accounting principles, and reporting requirements from the Province of Ontario and the Federal Government. You will build an effective team by planning, prioritizing, and managing the work of employees, providing strategic and tactical advice, guidance, and coaching.
Requirements and Qualifications- An undergraduate degree in business or a related field, combined with a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or a Professional Accounting designation.
- Several years' experience managing finances in complex environments, with a focus on budget development and management.
- Strong proficiency in modern budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, along with advanced skills in preparing management reports and business plans.
- Thorough knowledge of current accounting principles.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with proven leadership and team development abilities to manage a skilled professional team.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel modeling.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
