This role is part of our Quality Assurance and Controls team within Pension Services, responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and processes in Products & Technology (P&T).

Risk Management Expertise

  • Provide technology risk and control subject matter expertise to P&T stakeholders and internal collaborators.
  • Recommend and document technology internal controls and process improvements, assisting in design and implementation where required.
  • Identify root causes of technology compliance issues, guiding follow-up or investigation efforts.
  • Supervise action plans in response to audit issues, incidents, and compliance violations as needed.
  • Promote risk awareness and culture within P&T.
  • Collaborate with partners on key initiatives and projects.
  • Support operational activities like pension verification, annual task lists, supplementary reporting, and compliance.

To Succeed in this Role

  • You will require professional designation or certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or CISA).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience detailing and evaluating technology risks and controls, preferably in professional services, finance, or related industries.
  • A university degree (Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or Information Technology) is essential.
  • Familiarity with governance and controls frameworks (COBIT, ISO27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework) is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of technology, including operating systems, software development, networking, and business applications, is required.
  • Pension experience and knowledge of related risks, processes, and controls can be an asset.
  • You should possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Focused and self-motivated individuals with problem-solving, analytical, and relationship management skills are ideal.
