The estimated salary range for this position is CAD $43.68 per hour.

Job Description

As an Assistant Shift Engineer - Second Class, you will operate, repair, and maintain a high-pressure primary combined cycle power plant with a capacity of 2890 boiler horsepower.

You will work under the direction of the Manager, Plant Operations, ensuring compliance with the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act and Regulations.

This includes operating boilers, feed water pumps, turbines, power distribution centers, and related auxiliary equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A Grade 12 diploma plus five years of recent experience in a first-class industrial plant.
  • A Second (2nd) Class Power Engineer's Certificate of Competency.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret single-line drawings.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
