The Milton Community Resource Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and their families.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children aged 0-12 years. You will work closely with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to ensure the needs of each child are met and exceeded.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about early childhood education, has excellent communication skills, and can build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. About the Role:

  • Create a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages children to explore, discover, and learn.
  • Develop and implement educational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers through regular communication and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement daily activities, such as arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play.
  • Provide guidance and support to children in developing good hygiene habits, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and developmental milestones.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience working with children aged 0-12 years in a childcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of energy and patience when working with young children.
  • Able to lift 20 pounds and move quickly around the childcare area.

  • A competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
