Hanover, Canada Maple Leaf Foods Full time

Job Summary:

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking an experienced DZ driver to join our team. As a DZ driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport products to customer locations in a safe and efficient manner
  • Complete circle checks, log books, and other regulatory requirements
  • Load and unload products according to plant and customer specifications
  • Collaborate with various teams throughout the day
  • Provide direction and guidance to Delivery Helper
  • Support training needs for new hires
  • Follow all procedures, including biosecurity, HACCP, and CHEQ
  • Provide positive customer interactions

Requirements:

  • Valid minimum DZ license or equivalent with a clean driver's abstract
  • 3-5 years of driving experience with a DZ license or equivalent
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
  • Understanding and ability to follow Animal Welfare/HACCP/Biosecurity procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some Wednesdays and weekends
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to complete work without supervision
  • Able to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Must be in good physical condition
