Tax Consultant, US Private Enterprise Specialist

KPMG-Canada seeks an ambitious Tax Consultant, US Private Enterprise Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will participate in complex and challenging US tax work, requiring significant analysis, assessment, and quantification.
About the Opportunity
This role involves leading the preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, as well as Canadian individual and cross-border tax filings for a diverse range of clients. You will also prepare or review US corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, researching and analyzing various tax issues. Additionally, you will maintain and manage client files to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Participate in complex US tax work, involving significant analysis, assessment, and quantification.
- Lead the preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, as well as Canadian individual and cross-border tax filings.
- Prepare or review US corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Research and analyze various tax issues.
- Maintain and manage client files to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns.
About You
We are looking for a professional with minimum 2 years' experience in a public accounting firm, currently pursuing a US CPA designation, Enrolled Agent, or US Masters of Tax. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and team building skills, strong time-management abilities, and self-motivation are essential. You should be able to handle multiple priorities, willing to assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for various clients, and demonstrate a keen interest in learning new skills by researching a wide variety of tax issues. Strong client service skills, with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and maintain strong client relationships, are crucial.

What We Offer
The expected base salary range for this position is $66,000 to $99,000. You may be eligible for bonus awards, based on your location, skills, competencies, and unique qualifications.
