Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hotel Receptionist at Athabasca Motor Hotel 1972 Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  • Resolve complaints and claims in a professional and courteous manner
  • Process group arrivals and departures, including check-in and check-out procedures
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as necessary
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, including dining options, room amenities, and local attractions
  • Exchange foreign currency and process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures as outlined in the hotel's emergency response plan
  • Clerical duties, including faxing, filing, photocopying, and answering the telephone
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work varying shifts
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
