About the Role:

At Drupati's Roti and Doubles, we are seeking a skilled Culinary Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet our high culinary standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure timely and efficient service

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, such as housing, transportation, and storage
  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, including language training and skills training

Support for Indigenous People:

  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience
  • Will train

Language: English

Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week
