About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care to patients in acute inpatient areas. You will work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to deliver person-centered care and make decisions that improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and collect information from various sources using observation, communication, data review, and physical assessment.
  • Makes a nursing diagnosis of the patient's condition and determines whether it can be improved or resolved by an appropriate nursing intervention.
  • Plans, performs, and evaluates nursing interventions and care.
  • Collaborates with patients and their families/caregivers in developing the care plan and encourages family participation in its development, implementation, and ongoing modification.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment (clinical and diagnostic reasoning) and provide nursing care through appropriate/prescribed technical, therapeutic, safety type interventions.
