Loss Prevention Officer

About the Role:
London Drugs is seeking a highly capable security and investigations professional to join our Loss Prevention team. As a Loss Prevention Officer - Security Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting surveillance, investigations, and maintenance of loss prevention systems at our store locations. You will identify areas of loss and work with the team to develop shrink reduction plans. Additionally, you will detect and apprehend individuals committing criminal offenses against the company, secure evidence, and prepare reports for court testimony.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct surveillance and investigations at store locations
* Identify areas of loss and develop shrink reduction plans
* Detect and apprehend individuals committing criminal offenses against the company
* Secure evidence and prepare reports for court testimony
* Perform special assignments, including lock repair, key control, and staff awareness and orientation
Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to stay calm and respond with good judgment in emergency situations
* A commitment and history of protecting people and property in a safe and legal manner
* Demonstrated ability to work under strict confidentiality
* High ethical standards and a commitment to personal and professional integrity
* Good command of the English language, both written and verbal, required for report writing and court testimony
* A valid Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle
* Availability and willingness to work at all locations and surrounding areas
