About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Points West Living Stetler Inc. in a nursing home setting. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Management: Administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosages and monitoring for potential side effects.
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical and emotional needs, documenting observations and developing care plans to address their unique requirements.
  • Health Education: Provide education and support to residents and their families on healthy lifestyle choices, disease management, and medication adherence.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the healthcare team, including physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, including medication administration, vital signs, and progress notes.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care setting, preferably in geriatrics.
  • Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications, as well as eligibility for licensure as a Practical Nurse in the province/territory of work.
